Gillian has been a registered nurse since 1979 and has had the opportunity to work in many arenas addressing health and education issues related to underserved populations in rural and urban places.
Gillian first became inspired and involved in activism while serving HIV patients during the 1980's and after seeing groups such as the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) working to impact change, and actually creating it, she was heavily influenced to always participate in being a part of that change going forward. In the decades since, she has been continually involved in numerous causes and actions.
